FLAME ROAD TYPE AMPLIFIRE RELAY

FLAME ROAD TYPE AMPLIFIRE RELAY

Description

  1. Flame Detection Principle: This system operates based on the principle of flame rectification or ionization. When a flame is present, the hot gases contain ionized particles that can conduct a small electrical current.
  2. Flame Rod: A special metal rod, known as a flame rod or flame sensor, is strategically positioned within the path of the flame. This rod, along with the burner's metal parts, forms an electrical circuit with the flame acting as a conductor. The flame rod is insulated from the burner's frame.
  3. Amplifier: An amplifier (often a flame rectification amplifier) applies a voltage to the flame rod and detects the small current generated when the flame completes the circuit.
  4. Relay: The amplifier is connected to a relay. If the current detected by the amplifier is sufficient, it signifies the presence of a flame, and the relay's contacts are switched (typically from normally closed to normally open), allowing the burner to continue operating or activating other components in the control system.
